Website maintenance in Saint Paul

Saint Paul runs on institutions, and institutional websites carry obligations a storefront site never has. A charter school board's minutes have to be on the site within 30 days. A masjid's iqamah table has to be right before Maghrib tonight, not after. A human services agency's county list and intake line have to match what the state has on file. We built the sites for Masjid As-Sunnah in the upper side of St. Paul and for Gateway STEM Academy, a public K-8 charter, and in both cases the question that mattered after launch was the same: who keeps this current on a Tuesday in February? A care plan is our answer. We are about twenty-five minutes away in Edina, down Highway 100 and across on I-94 or the Crosstown, and we keep sites like these updated, patched, and backed up for a fixed monthly price, with your office still able to post the urgent things itself.

Keeping Saint Paul websites right

Most Saint Paul organizations we talk to have a website that belongs to whoever last touched it: a board member who rotated off, a teacher who moved districts, a volunteer who set it up in 2019. The site still loads, and that is the problem. It looks maintained while the testing calendar, the staff page, the prayer times, and the donate link quietly fall behind. Saint Paul's mix makes this worse than in a retail suburb. Charter and private schools, mosques and churches, health and human services providers, and the neighborhood businesses on University Avenue, Payne Avenue, and West Seventh all publish information that someone depends on being right: a lottery date, a Jumuah time, a county served, a Saturday hour. Keeping it right is not a project. It is a schedule, and the schedule is what a plan buys.

The charter school calendar is written into state law

Minnesota charter schools carry about twenty website duties under chapter 124E and the statutes it cross-applies, and most of them recur. Board minutes go on the site within 30 days of approval and stay for a year. The standardized testing calendar is due by October 1. The literacy plan is due by June 15. The lottery policy has to be published on the website, the annual report posted when the board adopts it, and since 2025 the site needs a conspicuous link to the authorizer's page holding the contract and performance reviews. Public schools also fall under the federal ADA Title II web rule, with compliance dates of April 26, 2027 and April 26, 2028 depending on population. We built the Gateway STEM Academy site, the office posts closures from a phone, and a care plan takes the statutory postings, the PDF cleanup, and the weekly software updates off the front desk.

A masjid website is right or wrong five times a day

Adhan times can be calculated from coordinates. Iqamah times cannot, because the board sets them, moves them with the seasons, and runs Jumuah at a time the calculator has never heard of. In a Minnesota June, Isha lands near eleven at night on some calculation methods and an hour earlier on others, which is why mosques publish their own summer schedules. Then Ramadan arrives on a projected February 8, 2027 for 1448, with Eid al-Fitr around March 9, and the timetable, taraweeh details, and Eid salah location all have to be posted the night they are confirmed. We built the Masjid As-Sunnah site with a single screen for the iqamah column. On a plan we keep that table and the Ramadan pages current, post janazah notices the volunteer sends, and watch the hosting through the spike that arrives every evening before Maghrib.

Close enough to come by, set up not to need to

For onboarding we will come to your building, whether that is a school office in Midway, a masjid on the East Side, or an agency in Frogtown. It is easier to inventory logins, photograph a space, and train the two people who will post closures when we are in the same room. After that the work runs on email, a shared folder, and a short monthly report, which is faster for everyone. Our office is at 4951 W 77th St in Edina, off Highway 100 near I-494. Saint Paul is Highway 100 north to I-94, or the Crosstown east, about twenty-five minutes to the Capitol outside rush hour, and we make the drive whenever a meeting earns it.

FAQ

Website maintenance in Saint Paul

Our Saint Paul site was built by a former staff member. Can you take it over?

Yes, and that is the normal case. We start with a free thirty-minute look, then take a full backup and write down every login, domain, host, CMS, forms, and analytics, moved into the organization's name, before we change anything. Sites we did not build usually need a few hours of cleanup first: out-of-date plugins, a lapsed certificate, a form that stopped sending. We quote that in writing before the first month starts, and if the site is beyond saving we will say so.

What does website maintenance cost in Saint Paul?

The Twin Cities agencies that publish care-plan prices, read in October 2026, run $50 to $100 a month for updates, backups, and monitoring alone, $149 to $474 for plans with one to two hours of content work, and $749 to $850 for four to five hours. National WordPress maintenance vendors publish $59 to $395. We do not publish a rate card. After a free look at your site you get a fixed monthly price in writing, and it is the same in Saint Paul as it is in Edina.

Do you handle the postings our authorizer checks?

That is most of what a charter school plan is. Minutes within 30 days, the lottery policy, the annual report, the authorizer link, the October 1 testing calendar, the June 15 literacy plan, and the standing notices families and the state expect to find. You send the document; we post it in the same place every time and check that the PDF has headings and tags. A full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance audit with a written report is separate work we quote, and worth doing once before the April 2027 Title II date.

Can you keep our prayer times and Ramadan pages current?

Yes. The adhan column is calculated for your coordinates using the method your imam follows. The iqamah column comes from your board, through a screen the office can use, or from us when they send the new times. For Ramadan we post the timetable the night the start is confirmed, keep the iftar sponsorship and taraweeh details current, and put the Eid salah location and parking rules up on a Sunday night if that is when they are decided. Somali and Arabic pages are posted from the translations you provide.
